Overhaul and Renovation
Mill Liner Handler Machine
A mill liner handler is a self-propelled mobile structure on rails or wheels. Power for the movement of the telescopic arm and propulsion is provided by a central hydraulic structure on the installed base.
The scope of the project was re-engineering, procurement, overhaul, and renovation of the mill liner handler machine.
Challenge
Our client delivered a damaged mill liner handler machine made by McLellan to us for overhaul and renovation. The machine was damaged and out of service for 7 years.
McLellan is a custom-built equipment manufacturer for mining, construction, and agriculture applications, based in the USA.
Solution
The hydraulic circuit was sorted out by our engineering team. We replaced Sauer Danfoss hydro motors and Eaton-Vickers block valves with Bosch Rexroth components. Chassis were repaired in our service center.
We overhauled and renovated 3 sets, bringing the machines back to service during the years 2012, 2013, and 2016.
